I have an 3.5" external Firewire case that works fine, but I want to see if I can convert this into a 5.25" case. I need to buy a new case, I know, but I can't find any company to sell me JUST the case. What I want to do is add a CDRW, probably the 16x Lite-on from newegg.

I know I can buy a new external FW drive, but I want to see if I can make a cheap conversion. The chipset it Texas Instruments and I think it is a APS bridge, if that matters. I found a dual SCSI case for $15, but it is big and bulky. I really want to find the propper case or at least something better than that SCSI case.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? Any help greatly appreciated.
