Stunted PCI card?

I bought this PCI usb/firewire card from Masscool. I looks strange in that it has only two sections, the first short eight pins and the second long, 32 pins. The PCI slot in my G5 tower has room for three sections, the last one being a short one again. Will this stunted card work? Don't want to create a problem. The card states MAC compatibility on its box.

Thanks!

Plug it in and see if it's recognized.

Firstly, check what G5 you have - if it's a dual-core 2.0,2.3 or quad, then the card might not work or might even damage the system. Otherwise, if it has one or two seperate single core chips, it should work with most normal PCI cards.

I have installed several USB PCI cards in G5's. They do look funny, the case area is huge and the cards look tiny with all those exposed leftover teeth in the PCI slots. But it works just fine.
