hey all - i have a G4 and with the number of periph's i use the 3 usb ports arent enough. id like to get a pci card so that i dont have to deal with a hub, but i dont know if any pci cards support deep sleep. I know the Belkin 4-Port QuadraBus PCI card doesnt support it 'cause i had one. So are there any PCI cards that support deep sleep or should i go with a hub (and for that matter - do hubs support deep sleep?) btw - 4 ports is preferable vs just 2. thanks.

Both of those options have problems. PCI cards aren't built-in, so sometimes it MIGHT have problems auto-detecting and what-not. However, with PCI cards you can also add firewire ports (or get a USB 2.0 PCI card). The hubs sometimes have problems if one device needs a lot of bandwidth, or if the device needs to be powered through the bus. Regarding deep-sleep, I'm not sure. You're best bet would be to talk to the manufacturer you are considering buying from because they probably wouldn't advertise a compatability issue like that.
