I am about to buy a Lacie Pocketdrive 20GB for half retail price. I've already played around with it and it works great.

I was just wondering if anyone has anything to comment about them, performance, trouble, etc.

Thanks

I've had an 18GB Pocket Drive for about a year that my company bought. I've used it USB on my iMac at work, USB on my PowerBook at home, and FireWire on my G4 at home. It has worked great on each one. I've never had a problem with it.

Expensive. But if you're paying half of retail for it, that should be closer to fair. Keep in mind you can build your own for about $250US, with an Oxford chip (faster, I think, than what's on the PD). Or, you can go the route I went.
$99 3 gig VST bus-powered HD
$128 20 Gig Travelstar
Sell the 3 gig drive inside the case for $45 on eBay. Wind up with a 20 gig pocket drive for $183. Plus, the VST is really compact and looks great.
