I have a brother HL-1650 laser printer which is about 4 months old. It has seen a fair amount of print jobs but it is for home use only so it certainly hasn't been overworked. Lately I have noticed an odd odor coming from it while it is printing. It is hard to describe. The printer doesn't get very warm and nothing is burning - at least that I can see. Has anyone experienced this problem? It prints just fine and like I said this is a recent phenomenon.

Any input would be appreciated.

Do you know what a fresh stack of xeroxes smells like? Does it smell like that?

and are there any extraneous markings on your printouts?[/LIST]
