I have a new G4 450DP which is great, but i am having a real problem wiuth the monitor resolution which is driving me nuts. It is a 17" Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 67TXV. I used it with my previous 4400/200. Most of the time when I startup, is defaults to a horrible. 640x400. When I can get it to 1024 x768 it is superb, but the only way to achieve it is to start up, then restart.

That works sometimes, but there is no pattern whether I turn on Mac or monitor first. If I need to force a restart it defaults to the low res. Then I have to shutdown, turn off all power, restart and be greeted by low res, then restart (monitor on first) and its fine - and really sharp. Obviously its a real pain though. I am about to borrow an Iyama so will post results in due course. Shame, I like the Mits. until I can afford to upgrade.
