Experiences with Refurb Apple Flat Panels?

Has anyone here bought I refurb Flat panel from apple?...how has it worked out? I'm looking at a refurbished 15" Flat panel studio display.

BTW this will be my First Mac. I was planning on waiting till summer but I just cant wait anymore

I wouln't do that anymore. The attraction used to be save $$ and get Applecare with the difference for a great warranty. Can't do that anymore with the refurbs. 90 days and it's all outta your pocket, and you KNOW it had some kind of problem already.

Plus, from what I know, you can't get AppleCare on displays, unless you buy them with a system.

Indeed, not to mention that if Apple decided to get rid of AppleCare on refurbs, it might well have been because they saw potential "problems" (in the form of users claiming stuff due to refurbishment not being a panacea, perhaps?) on the horizon!
