A friend of mine today told me that iomega is rebating everyone $100 who bought one of their drives in the last year or so. He got a letter in the mail, and has 3 so he's getting $300. I wanted to know if anyone else had heard about this, if it applies to me who got a build to order G4 with one in it, and how I get this rebate. Thanks for any info
A G4, what coulf be

Nose around http://www.iomega.com/promos/promos.html and http://www.iomega.com/zip/products/zipattack.html or call the company. The Apple Store usually includes external rebates in the price of the equipment or bundle.

Transfering thread into the Peripherals forum where it belongs.

MP 2 x 2.8 and etc.

You may be thinking of the recent resolution of a class action suit against IOMEGA. I just got a letter in the mail on that. They offer rebates of some 40 bucks toward a new drive for anyone who has bought a ZIP drive during the last five years and can prove it (if you don't have the receipt, you'll get a 10 dollar off coupon). Anyway, I chicked the letter so I don't even recall what the suit was all about.

If you're referring to the "click-of-death" class action, it's a $17 to $40 coupon towards the purchase of a new Zip.
