Anybody try running Alsoft's Disk Warrior on a Non-mounting iPod or for just general maintenance. I'm not even sure this is possible unless one has a bootable Mac OS installed on their iPod. Mine are working fine, but another fellow in another forum wants to avoid using the restore or to reformat in order to get his iPod to mount on his Mac.

I've posted something similar in another forum...
I also wondered about using Norton Speed Disk to optimize as this seems like a good idea and someone answered that Apple recommends against that. I asked him for the article or a link or whatever bu got no reply.
So, I am curious as well about this...

My lady had this problem just last night. Disk First aid in OS X was telling her she had Siblink errors over and over again in her attempt to repair. Disk Warrior fixed it and all as well. I don't know of anyone who has tried the plus-optimizing feature yet on there iPods.
