Howdy i was wondering if anyone knows of any companies who make iPod cases in Australia.
It would really be appreciated.
I have seen the ones that I can order from USA, and they look great, but by the time i buy a money order, pay for postage, and with the way our dollar is worth nothing at the moment, it is going to be very expensive.
So if anyone knows anything available in Austraolia, or any suggestions, please help me and post them here!
Thankyou!

I've been having simliar problems in the U.K, all I can suggest is this company xtrememac who only charge $10 for international delivery. I ordered 2 cases and the $10 dollars covered both, I haven't recieved them yet though so I can't really say how good they are. Other US manufacturers seem to want to charge anything up to $35 for delivery which sucks.
Other than that you can get generic MP3 player cases from companies such as CaseLogic and some people claim to have bought PDA cases which fit it perfectly.

I Agree with you Angus. I'm after one as well but am not prepared to fork out nearly $70 Aus, for the one i think I want.
I would really like to see something in the flesh first, to see how they fit and to acess the finish of the cover. Apple retailers I've talked to have nothing and don't seem to know they even exist.
So I feel it shall be a waiting game, it's been 5 months now so whats a few more.
On another note about the Apple centers in Oz - Get ya act together - your doing the apple brand no Justice, with shithouse service and Knowledge.
When I bought my Powerbook and iPod from the apple store in the Mall Of America, Minesotta they were so professional and knowledgeable, answering any questions I Had with ease.
I think we need some Genuine Apple Stores here!

I agree with you completely!
Apple retailers in australia (especially melb, where i am from) know nothing about the products. They are not passionate, helpful or knowledgeable.
Before buying something I have to do so much research on the net, because I know that when i ask them something, they wont know what im talking about.
The other day i went into an apple shop in melb to ask them if they knew anything about ipod cases, or where i could get one.
The guy goes "Oh why do you need a case, the ipod already comes with one!"
And im like "no it doesnt"
so he goes and gets a new ipod box, opens it and then discovers that it doesnt come with one, and he is like 'oh, i thought it did".
Wouldnt you think that someone that works in an apple shop, would know things like that.
Another example, a few months ago when i went to enquire about iMacs (the g3's), the lady didn't even know what operatign system came with it, she had to ring up apple's head office and ask!!
This type of service is disgusting, and like you said, give apple a bad name.
