just wondering if there are some geeks out there who have pre-ordered a Firewire superdrive yet......

it can be done at http://www.all4dvd.com/products/DVDRec.htm for 990U$...

Might be worth waiting a few months till it hits the market; these things often fall in price once they start shipping in greater volume, in line with the time-honoured principle of economies of scale...
