I have a Lexmark Optra E312 that refuses to print under OS X. Has anyone else succeeded in printing to this printer?

Could you elaborate on the problems you are having? Does the computer see the printer at all, under OS X, or is it a case of the computer seeing it but not getting it to print?

OS X sees the printer and it shows up in the Print Center, but trying to actually print a file leads to postscript errors no matter what type of file is being printed or application it is being printed from. I can get classic to print to it intermittently from within OS X, but the lack of native print support is a factor keeping me from making the full jump from OS 9 to X.

The Optra E312 (and if I recall, the E310 which preceded it) has had problems when sent print jobs from recent versions of the LaserWriter 8 print driver. It's quite possible that Apple would have modelled the OS X PostScript driver system after LaserWriter 8, thus replicating the problem.
