What is a 15-pin D-sub input?

Like the title says I want to know what a 15-pin D-sub input is. I know it has to do with displays. Is this like VGA? Any help is much appreciated

AFAIK this is VGA

Thanks for the link! I'm gonna get a LCD tomorrow for the Power Mac and it said 15 pin D-sub input and DVI. I thought 15-pin D-sub sounded wierd.

The standard VGA connector is a high density D-15 connector: it uses the same shell as a standard D-9, but manages to stuff six more pins in that space. The VGA-type connection is used for a lot of post-VGA video connections, so it looks like whoever wrote the specs on that LCD wanted to not sound like the panel was limited to VGA resolution (640X480).
