Hi there.. I work as a system admin/all-round-geek at the Electrical Engineering Department of The University of Western Australia.. we have recently inherated a LW16/600 from a research group that closed down, and we want to make it available for general student use.
The problem however is that there is a configuration password set, and we don't know what it is. Using the Apple Laserwriter Utility, we can set the IP address via a serial link without needing a password, however we also need to change the default router/gateway address, and you can only do that by telnetting to it. (Duh Apple, well done

)
I've opened it up, and I can't see any jumpers or batteries to remove to reset the CMOS settings. Apparently it uses EEPROMs to store the settings, so it's possible that removing the power wouldn't help.
Any ideas on what to do?
