I recently purchased the 780 from HSN.com for about $55. It was a fantastic deal that I couldn't resist, and since I also have a laser printer (Samsung ML-1210, which btw is a great cheap printer), I wanted something that could replace my Epson 880 and could be dedicated to high-quality, borderless photo printing.

I made sure that there was an OS X driver available for it before I bought it, and there is. However, I've discovered it is nowhere near as full-featured as the OS 9 driver. For example, there is NO borderless printing or maximum/centered print area option, one of the main reasons why I bought the printer in the first place.

Is Epson ever going to get their heads out of their a**es and get some fully functional printer drivers out for OS X? I'm no software engineer, but how damn hard can it be to make a printer work properly?

Has anyone heard anything from Epson in regards to their updating their OS X drivers?
