Hi guys,
I just recently brought an old Lexmark Z32 printer I had at home back with me to college so I could do my own printing, and I having some problems.
First off when I dusted it off, the ink cartridges were dead, so I bought a new pair (50 and 60), but I bought the recycled generic brand ink instead of Lexmark to save a couple bucks.
So, with my printer hooked up to my Powerbook G4 laptop, I set up the printer, align the cartridges, print a test page, the good stuff. When i finally go to print something out that, it just stops all jobs. I tell it to start jobs and it stops again. Every once in a while it will give me an error message for about half a second. With shift+apple+3 and some good time, I managed to find out that it says new ink cartridges have been detected and need to be aligned....but I did. So I did it again. No dice. I removed the cartidges and set them up again. Still no dice. it still says new cartridges need to be aligned.
Also, when I hook my printer up to my roommates laptop, he prints with no problems whatsoever. His laptops a Dell.
Any ideas what's goin on and how to fix it?
