My scratches are gone!!!
Earlier today I went to see a guy at a watch store and asked him his advice on how to remove scratches from plastic watch fronts. He said I should try ''Brasso'' metal polish wadding. I was a little suprised but was willing to try it out anyway. Got home dabbed it on and HOLY COW, my iPods screen is now as smooth as a babys bum.
A little advice though, the wadding in the Brasso pot seemed to make its own scratches, so I suggest using kitchen roll or a soft cloth. Dab it into the waddding and smooth the brown stuff in.
It really works!!!

yeah, I know.
I used to collect swatch watches and brasso really did the trick for taking out scratches.
Pretty amazing really that it works on both metal and plastic

I wouldn't like to speculate on that one, but I can't imagine your iBook disolving or anything.

Brasso is a liquid.
It is usually used for polishing guess what......Brass!
It's quite thick and a cloudy light browb colour. Believe it or not - it really works on plastic.

You can probably only get it in UK, but I suppose there's a US equivalent. (It's by appointment to the Queen, so it must be good!!)

Nope... My brother used to use Brasso to polish his R.O.T.C. uniform metals, and that was almost 35 years ago. I remember the stuff because it stinks really bad, but I used to like to watch him put his uniform together for drills and stuff .
Anyway, I gotta try that on my iPod. I'd imagine some could be found at any Army/Navy store, or the like. I've got nothing but a few PDA screen protector strips on it now, though they work pretty good to prevent scratches.

Hmmm.... I just applied Brasso to my iPod but it only got rid of the very minor scratches on the screen. But the small scratches on the back are still there.

Hrmmmm...
And all this time I thought Brasso was as American as WD-40 and duct tape. Or maybe this ""Queen" person you've got running around over on that island over there is snaking all our handy dandy household products!

Yeah, hardware stores. We sell it at Ace, maybe I should get some for my Apple Watch now that I know what I could do with it ...
