Greetings-

I bought my wife a 22" widescreen Monitor for her G5 tower.

One problem though, the native resolution of 1680X1050 isn't available in system preferences.

It has the original Geforce 5200 video card.

Do I have to purchase a special video cable? Currently I have it connected through the DVI-SVGA connector that came with the G5.

If I purchase a DVI- DVI cable will the resolution show up in System Preferences?

If so where is the best price on the cable I need?

Sorry about that- It is the Westinghouse 22" widescreen from Black Friday at Best Buy.

Here is the Montior: Westinghouse: 22" Widescreen Monitor
There was a standard svga Cable in the box (They refer to this a a D-sub), It says DVI-D is the other port available.
