After a little over a year of owning the Soundsticks speaker system, 3 months after warranty to be exact, they do not work. I have troubleshot them numerous ways with the same results, a pulsing blue light coming from the iSub and crackling coming from the soundsticks. I have contacted Harmon/Kardon, and they said all they could do was replace me with a refurbished system at a cost of $70. more dollars.

Hmmm, I already paid $200.00, sure I'll give more money because their speakers went bad? I understand warranties but, I feel that this is a rare case and they should stand for making their customers confident with owning their merchandise.

I have not abused the speakers. They have been in a dry, clean environment and never put to full volume.

I am still waiting on a response from Harmon/Kardon since my last email.

I thought MAC users would like to know about this for owners of Soundsticks and for potential buyers.

The warranty has ended, so I guess you should have to pay something to get them fixed, but it shouldn't be $70 for a referbished model. If it happened to a bunch of soundsticks/users, then they should accept that they had a problem building them and fix it for free.

WOW....this really stinks. Although as much as I love my SoundSticks i'd probably shell out the 70 bucks without hessitation.

I broke the left satellite within the first 6hrs out-of-the-box.
I email and fax my invoice to them for requesting repair service. I sent the left satellite back to them and just got it back today. Too bad to hear one unhappy SoundStick user.
