Thinking of getting a couple FW drives. I was wondering how to connect them.
Thanks.

I imagine there is a limit to the power the FireWire bus can supply, so it's going to depend on how many hard drives you plan on hooking together. I'd look at the power consumption specs of the hard drives and see if your Mac manual has any info on how many amps/watts FireWire will supply. Just a suggestion...

The only problem with this method is that firewire (unlike SCSI), required the upstream devices in the chain to be powered on to use the downstream devices. So, for example, my FW burner is at the end of the chain; I have to turn both hard drives on to use it, or mess around swapping cables. If hubs were a bit cheaper (maybe around $50) I’d definitely get one. They all seem to be about $100, so I’ve been waiting to buy one.
