Well, I bought this printer less than 12 months ago (Australian model) and guess what; no current osx support and no plans for future support.
Not happy at all. Here is a quote direct from the canon website.
"Macintosh vOS X
Canon?s Macintosh compatible USB peripherals are currently qualified for Macintosh Operating Systems 8.1 through 9.1.

9 months ago. Great hey. I dont think I will be purchasing canon again.
MacBook Alu, 13", 2.4Ghz, 4GB RAM, 256MB video
G5 Imac, 17", 1.9Ghz, 1.5GB RAM, 128MB video, built in isight, airport and bluetooth
Indigo iBook, 366mhz; 320MB RAM; CD; FW; Airport
The Canon site now lists an OSX driver, but after what appears to be successful instal I get an error message at the end of the progress bar. I now see the usb printer, in the print center but is tells me no driver is installed. Subsequent attempts fail.
I have a BJC 2100 (I don't know what the SP is) and never had any problems printing from it in Jaguar. Unfortunately I never used it in X.1. My printer is old (purchased in 2000, and finally opened and taken out of teh box in January...never needed it before then). I have managed to pring several CD labels as well as resumes. I am running a REV A. iBook, OS X.2.5
Let me know if there is some way in which I mighht be able to assiste you.
