Hi I need to get a different external usb burner for my imac 266mhz running X.1.3 since I am giving up on QPS and my incompatible burner. Has anyone had success with the ZipCD650USB ? It is listed as one of the few compatible burners by Apple in the itunes fact sheet. I chose this one due to the number of them avail. on Ebay. Any help welcome. I just wanted to confirm it actually works since it seems a lot of people are having trouble with ext. drives and OSX.

If it wasn't for cynicism, I wouldn't have anything good to say at all
the zipcd 650 works beautifully with itunes, toast, and disc burner in both os 9 and os x. I used one for a couple years with my wallstreet powerbook 292 MHz running both systems. never had any problems, though usb burners are very slow.

Great- thanks for the reply, USB is slow but my imac doesn't have firewire and speed is not of importance to me I just want a burner that acts as more than just a doorstop ie: (QUE CDRW)
