Hi all,

My wife would like to replace the original keyboard for her G4 867 Quicksilver. She has complained that the keyboard is way too slow (even at the fastest key repeat rate), "clunky" feeling, and requires "hard" deliberate keystroking. She has tried the keyboard from my G5 and found it just as unresponsive. She is looking for a keyboard with a much "lighter" touch, and is more responsive and faster.

Any recommendations?

Thx, W2

I like the Matias Tactile Pro. A bit loud, but it's got some very nice mechanisms behind the keys. Plus, it's made with the Mac in mind (volume keys, eject key, and command/option keys).

I have a kensington flat keyboard. It is *far* better than the apple keyboard. Feel is like my AL PB, although the keys are more like the size of a Pismo. I would recommend this keyboard just based on the feel.

Minuses: no USB ports on it

Try Macally iKeySlim, its got low action keys just like Apple notebooks, plus it has usb ports, really cheap too.
