Since there are incompatible USB modems now since the release of OS9.1, including my Best Data, can somebody here recomend a replacement that will be compatible? It will need to be happy with OS10 also. Thanks

Supra USB V.90 is working fine w/ 9.1 - along with internal Apple V.90 for dual multilink PPP so I can get up to 10k/sec thruput on downloads and makes web browsing a lot nicer. Modem is plugged into XLR8 dual port PCI USB card (more power and 11Mb/s on EACH port not over the two ports. Has also worked fine directly off B&W USB ports on back.
I've had 5-6 Supra modems and no problems, something I can't say about 3Com and USRobotics and I'm am damn glad I didn't listen to sales person and get GV. Junk.

Thanks Gregory, It seems that the Apple v.90 is my best bet. How can I get my hands on one? I can't seem to find it at the Apple store.

Unfortunatly I don't agree with Greg. Global Village modems are fine modems and have a great software set, unlike just about every other modem out there. Likewise, the one time that I have used their warrenty service, they were quite good about making sure that I had a quality working modem. As far as Apple's v.90 modem. That is the internal modem found in PowerBooks, iBooks, iMacs and all G4s. Apple does not sell it external to any of the hardware that they include it internally.
I am seriously confused as to why you are using an external USB modem?
