Motorola Starmax 4000/120 MT
Newer MAXpowr G3 300/150
Inland USB 2-port PCI card
Nikon Coolpix 990

When transferring pictures from the camera via the USB port, the computer locks up. Opening the camera icon results in VERY slow loading of the folder list and when attempting to drag files from the camera to the HD, the computer completely locks up.

I read something somewhere (which I can't find again) about Newer cards having conflicts with Apple USB drivers. The person who wrote about it had a G4 card, I believe and listed some alternate accelerator drivers to use from other companies (Sonnet, Powerlogix, etc.), but I'm not sure if that would apply to my situation. Any ideas? Thanks!
