I just got a 32X ext. lacie burner and can't figure out how to burn cds in os X. I called the tech and they said that I can only burn in ox 9. And, yeah, iTunes doesn't recognize the burner. And I only have Toast 5.0.2 lite (I think).

How do I get burning in X?

Hiya,

I have two LaCie burners, one 24x external and one portable external (8x?). Both work fine in X with Toast Titanium 5.1.

Cheers

What flavor are they?
scci , ata , firewire or USB.
I have a lacie 12432s ( scci) that toast titanium won't burn to but it does fine with the ATA toshiba unit.
OS X will accept disks from both though.

Does that mean that I have to buy Titanium for it to work in OS X? How much does that run?

toast pro is generally $99, but you can probably find it for $89 pretty easily. I recommend it, but I sincerely doubt it will support your drive if Toast lite doesn't. You should call Roxio first, if that is your only motivation for buying it.

I suspect that the 32x mechanism is just new, and you'll have to wait for drivers to be written for it for X
blackmail is such an ugly word. I prefer extortion. the X makes it sound cool
