Does anyone know if the speed of a CD-R effects video files written to them. Does a file copied to a 2x drive mean that it can only be read at 2x on a CD drive that can read faster? To put an MPEG file on CD, would the same results be achieved letting it meander through USB or would a faster SCSI drive improve read performance.Thanks.

The speed at which the CD is written is irrelevant. Playback quality depends on the data rate of the video file, and whether the CDROM Drive you use for playback can handle that rate.

Good luck.
