im looking to buy an external usb cd-rw drive, my first instinct is to get an iomega drive, as i trust the name, but ive seen some posts on here saying their CD-RW's are crap. anyone?

my computer is an iBook 366, 6gig HD, 192 megs RAM if it makes some kind of difference in yr reccomendation.

thanks!

I own a first generation Sony Spressa and found it to be a good product. Que/Sony/Iomega should be pretty good. VST offers a portable USB/FireWire drive for about $290. Might be a good solution if you move around a lot.

I have made good experiences with LaCie drives, except for the the USB we bought lately - which is now in repair. But since we have 1 year guearantee, even that doesn't bother me too much ;-)

We have several LaCie externals (USB-HDs, SCSI-CDRWs, etc.) and all others are doing fine and work reliably. I can recommend this brand.

Greetings
