I would like to know if anyone has an OfficeJet G95 All-in-One printer running under Mac OS X and the latest drivers which HP released a couple of weeks ago ??

As far as I can tell, the G95 is virtually the same printer as the G85/xi with the addition of the JetDirect box and the Automatic Duplex Printing accessory.

On a whim, I installed the new HP drivers even though I don't own any of these printers. It appears to support the AIO functions over a network as it asked for my printer's IP address. So I have to believe that the drivers would work with the G95. Can anyone verify this for me ?

Are there any real differences between the G85 and G95 other than what I described above ??

I am getting very close to ordering a printer, and am trying to decide what to do. I need an AIO printer that is network capable so that I can share it among my WinXP/2000 PCs and my Macs running OS X.

I could order a G85xi + JetDirect box + Automatic Duplex accessory, or I could just get the G95. Any ideas ?? Please help!

Thanks!

The short answer is that the G95 uses a network card that isn't Mac-friendly.

Here's a quote from HP's site:

NOTE: The HP Jetdirect 170X print server that ships with the G95 is not supported and will not function correctly in a Macintosh environment. The HP Jetdirect 300X and 500x will work correctly with all the HP Officejet G series products.
So I think you should go for the G85 series. I have access to a G85, but I haven't downloaded the new drivers yet.
