hi there

i got an ipod for x-mas and used it since then. what seemed to be a temporary thing at first now starts to bother me more and more. i have found a problem that most often occurs, when i directly choose a song from the songlist. It is then quite likely that the song won´t play properly, but it will skip like we are all used from old fashioned cds...
in those cases, the buttons won´t do anything - sometimes you will have to hardreset the ipod (at least that still works) or wait until it manages to play the song properly...

this problem now seems to occur daily... has anyone else experienced this?? what shall i do??

btw: i have ipod 1.0.4 (but it happened with 1.0.2 as well) and have deleted all the files and tried new ones...

I can't think of a single cause that is a good thing here.
HD failure
RAM failure
MoBo failure
Could be a loose battery connection, but I'd highly recommend against opening it, to check, with this problem.

I'd call Apple, get it replaced.
