I just thought I'd let you guys know that I visited the Electronics Consumer Trade Show 2000 in London today.
I was very lucky to try out products such as the new Gameboy Advance, and the European Playstation 2.
Amongst the vendors were 3DFX. I noticed on their stand that they had Apple Power Macintosh G4's with 22inch TFT Cinema Displays amongst the PCs.
I got try out Unreal Tournement on a PowerMac G4 Tower fitted with a Voodoo 5500 with a 22inch Cinema Display. The machine was equiped with the brand new Apple Pro Mice and Keyboard aswell.
And I have to say the experience was fun, and that I no longer understand how PC users can argue the Mac can never make a good gameing platform. I was more than satisfied with what I got to try out.
I spoke to one of the Reps there, who was very friendly, and even though he was frank that he didn't know too much about Macs, he was definately able to confirm that the Voodoo 5500 will ship with ADC connectors and was open minded about Macs in general expressing that he saw no reason why 3DFX shouldn't continue to support the Mac OS, and that their latest drivers are nearing completion.
