canon printer drivers not found after install

I've just installed canon printer drivers for mac osx on my macbook pro. The printer is an i560 and the drivers came from the canon site here

Followed the install process and all seemed to go okay, but when I try to install the printer the driver is not shown as one of the available drivers.

The printer is physically attached to a windows XP PC that is on the same local network. I've chosen all the right options in the printer setup utillity, browsed to the winxp machine, chosen the printer ... everything seems to be okay except that when choosing the type of printer, my new printer is not one of the available canon printers.

Any ideas ?

Can I use the 'other' printer option to connect to the driver, and if so, where might I find the driver file on the mac ox filesystem ?
