Hi

Have someone had the opportunity of using/testing the new Formac 1740 17" flat planel ? How is it compared with Apple's own flat 17" ?

According to Formac, the Gallery 1740 is more responsive, response time (pixels) is 20 sec compared to 40 sec on the Apple ... can one really tell the difference ? I was wondering if this was marketing bull. or the truth

I wondered the same thing but after reading some horror stories about Formac my attention changed to Apple LCD's. Actually since I bought a new G4 system, the Apple LCD was cheaper ($300 rebate). It has not shown up yet, but I have had many opportunities to play with the Apple line at my local CompUSA and for what I will using it for, it will be fine.
