I have a brand new Brother MFC-7820N. When in the supplied ControlCenter2 software, I have several options for scanning - Image, OCR, Email, and File. Clicking 'File' is supposed to let me choose where to save and in what format, right? Well, that never happens. The MFC seems to scan the sheets (it takes them through its feeder and makes scanning noises), yet nothing happens after that.

All other functions seem fine. I have tried this through USB and the LAN.

Nevermind. It turns out one has to right-click on the controlcenter2 button in order to get a pop-up settings window.

How unintuitive. But it was right there in the manual.
