After I upgraded to the newest version of Logitech Control Center my mouse speed settings changed. The pointer doesn't move far enough when making slow movements and too far when making fast ones. Overall, it feels sluggish (except when moving very quickly) and unresponsive. My mouse and trackpad used to be both very quick and very accurate.

I've downloaded utilities to change my mouse speed and acceleration (MouseZoom and iMouseFix) but I haven't been able to fix the problem, and I've also managed to make my trackpad behave in the same way (probably by playing around with the acceleration).

My question is: what are the best settings to use for fast but accurate movements on both a mouse and a trackpad, or which settings might I have been using before?

This is slowly driving me insane, so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Specs: Rev. 1 MacBook, 10.4.8, Logitech MX500 mouse
