I am looking to purchase a color laser printer and like the HP 2600n price and image quality. But, I have heard and seen contradictory statements about whether or not it will work well with an intel Mac. I have a 1.66 GHz dual core mini with OS 10.4.5 Anyone have experience with this printer and intel Mac?

Thanks for the reply. I take it then that HP has upgraded the driver to be intel Mac compatible? That seemed to be the problem I saw complaints about.

Not sure about that, but it has worked great on my G5, PB 17" as well as my MBP 1.83. Drivers were downloaded at different times (never noticed PPC or UB drivers), but there was never a time where it didn't work.

You don't necessarily need platform-specific print drivers, the PowerPC binaries work just fine for my Olympus photo printer.
