I have the nomad jukebox and one of the things i love is that i can create playlists ON the unit --

-- i know the IPod CAN'T do that, but what i'd like to know is, while a song is playing, can you access the main menu and 'browse' for another song to play -- or are you locked into the 'now playing' screen while playing a song..

i really like to "freeassociate" my music - having one song inspire me to listen to another song etc...

please. let me know...cause i wanna get an iPod ASAP

thanks

I got a chance to play with an iPod today (I'm getting one this weekend for sure!) To answer your question, you CAN access other playlists, menus, etc. while listening to music. [In addition, I'm almost certain that the creation of playlists within the iPod will be a future firmware upgrade feature.] Hope this helps you with your purchasing decision! -B
