Does anyone have an xlr8, or have used an xlr8 point & scroll mouse? What are your opinions on it? Are the drivers stable, what about the feel of the buttons? I am thinking of getting one.....

I used it until I switched to Microsoft's IntelliMouse Explorer. The mouse was comfortable to use. The drivers were good but limited.

There was one problem with the driver, which may have been fixed since then to all I know. The icon that appears when you hold down the wheel sometimes caused crashes.

I've said it several times and i'll say it again.

Don't bother installing drivers, insteal download "USB Overdrive".

Then you can choose exactaly what keys/conbinations you want emulated. Even for games without input sprockets.

It's even kind enough switch behavior sets depending on what application is running in the foreground.

USB Overdrive costs money. Besides, the XLR8 driver has better support for the scrolling wheel than USB Overdrive - other than the crash problem I mentioned, which may have been fixed to all I know..

I've used the Interex mouse by XLR8 for a little over a year or so. I started with their driver then switched to USB overdrive. Had corruption problems with that after awhile and went back to XLR8's driver. They've just recently made a new version available that seems to be pretty solid. As far as the mouse is concerned I don't think you can beat it for the money. I'm very happy with it.....if I could afford it I'd probably get the fancy dan cordless mouse from Microsoft....but why spend $60-$70 when my good old scrolling mouse does all I need?
Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Been using the Point & Scroll for a couple of months now. Haven't had any problems. The drivers are stable. Never had a crash I could prove was caused by the Point & Scroll drivers.

I love the feel of it. It is solid without being so heavy you can't move it. It's light and easy to move without feeling cheap.

As for features. What do you want in a mouse?

I use the left button as a single click, the right button for control-clich (contextual menus) and the scroll wheel to scroll.
You can set those button to do other things, if you like.

If you are gaming, you probably need something besides a mouse anyway.

I can recommend the XLR8 without any reservations.
