I recently purchased a Creative Nomad II MP3 / Digital Audio Player. I love it.

About 2 days ago, Creative released a firmware upgrade application for the player (Nomad II Firmware 2.00.19) in Macintosh Format.

I have not been able to get the upgrade to work. The player goes into a "Upgrading Firmware" mode then, nothing happens. In fact, I let my Mac sit for 30+ minutes running the app and zilch! (The Mac was not crashed so I unplugged the player and quit the app).

Fortunately, the upgrade doesn't take if not completed or my player would've been hosed.

I'm running Mac OS 9.04 with Sound Jam 2.5.1 (as the firmware flash sugguested). I've tried it with extensions off. I tried it through a USB hub and direct connection to my iMac DV.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Creative has stinky web support and maybe I can get some help before racking up some long distance calls to their tech support.

I'm having the same problem. I can't figure it out. I'm gonna try using Virtual PC.

It worked using Virtual PC. It was a whole different process that the player went through, making me believe that the Mac version is useless. Oh well...
