Has anyone else here eperienced problems with the Micro Connectors "Flavored" keyboards? I read some favorable reviews elsewhere (WiseWeasel's post springs to mind), but right out of the box, *mine* is completely useless...the mapping is totally screwey! I've got it attached to an iMac DV/SE (slot-loading) directly to the top usb port.

For example, Q, W, E, and R all give me an X, upper or lowercase, and the T key produces "WX". One of thoses keys also puts the capslock on, and I can't trace that yet. The only thing that worked correctly was that the power key finally powered up my machine, which the original iMac keyboard never did.

Is there anything to be done? Is this just a bum kboard? Or should I bother waiting the time to re-map?

Thanks for any help,

JDRaven
(reduced to using the original keyboard (ooh, I hate it) from my iMacDVSE, routed through the hub in the Micro Connectors kboard)

I've experienced similar intermittent problems with my Microconnectors keyboard. All have been solved by unplugging the keyboard for a few seconds and then plugging it back in.

No, this was definitely not solved by replugging. In fact, I finally called CompUSA and asked them about it...they felt it was defective and replaced it.

Problem solved!
