What is the best mouse out there that is compatable with the macs? Being from the pc side, I've always loved the way the Logitech Mouses have preformed, but I've read here and there there not really compatable??

Cordless would be the most supreme!!

Any suggestions?

I have the Logitech MouseMan 'Wheel' USB optical. It's not cordless, but this is one heck of a great product and works flawlessly on my G4. I can't believe I put up with the 'hockey puck' for as long as I did. Logitech has also released an update to the Mouseware driver software, so if you do get one of their mice, do get the update from their web site.

I have to agree. I couldn't be happier with my Optical Logitech wheel mouse.

Here is a picture of the one I got.

It's only $29-US

I've got the Logitech Wheel Mouse, non-optical, and I love it. It's the old fashioned kind with the little ball on the bottom but it's so smooth I can barely notice. Plus, I can use it on a glass table top with no mouse pad. Installation was a snap. Just pop in the CD, install, and forgetaboutit! I scroll, copy and paste, delete, make aliases, all from the mouse. All Mac users with the hockey puck should come over to my house and see what you're missing.

FYI, both the current optical mouse and the iMac "hockey puck" were Logitech products, so compatibility is not the limiting factor here.

The logitech software does leave something to be desired. It has compatibility issues with all sorts of software, AppleScript being on the top of my list. USB Overdrive, however, makes a great replacement for Logitech's software.
