i'm not quite sure your comparison works. the ipod is the media player, not the media itself. if your comparing the eight-track tape to mp3's? again it's a no go, because mp3's won't be obsolete anytime soon, i don't think.

In the larger sense: the size, the sound, the capacity... Man I hated them shits. And I luuuuuv the iPod. Can't wait to get it.

We've come a long way baby. We're talking 25 years. I mean, how many iPods can you fit inside the equivalent volume of a cracked, ripped-labelled, clonky mechanics, arse-sounding 8-track cassette?

In a musical reproduction perspective, it's a great time to be alive.
