Does anyone know if the drive is IDE to Fire Wire or SCSI to Firewire? I have yet to see a true Firewire drive. So does anyone know what bridge is in this drive?

I have the QueFire 8x4x32. It is an ATAPI drive which I believe is IDE.

When I use System Profiler the drive shows up on SCSI Bus 0 ID=1 in the firewire section. The internal DVD drive shows up as device ATA 2 ID=1 (the internal hard drive is ID=0)

I believe Que uses a firewire to IDE bridge.

I wish I could find out where they buy there bridges from. I would like to play around with a IDE/Firewire RAID. I know the VST has made one but I would like to design my own. I guess I should buy a VST drive and try to make my own bridge.
