Since there were no new Apple displays launched, I'm really finding it hard to wait much longer for a price drop from Apple.

I have now seen the Dell 22" for $296. vs. $999 for the Apple. I would a little more for a Apple LCD but I can't justify 3x the cost for one (My wife would kill me)

Anyone else out there in the same questioning???

Also, anyone sue one fot he 22" Dell with a MBP 17" I'm looking to be able to expand my working desktop area to maximize my email in one, and iMovie in the other...


What's the odds of Apple reducing prices, and not launching new Displays?

You're not making a good comparison.

The Dell 20" ($251)/22" ($296) and the Apple 20" ($699) all have the same resolution.

The Dell 24" ($674) and the Apple 23" ($999)/24" (iMac) all have the same resolution.

As you can see the Dells are significantly cheaper in every case, and have more features: adjustable stands, VESA mounting, more video input options, flash card readers, etc (features vary by model).
