I've been looking around, and I was wondering if anyone knows of any nice places to get RAM. I'd really like another 128MB for my G4/400/PCI Graphics, but haven't found any places that have jumped out at me as having high quality, inexpensive RAM. Could anyone point me in a direction? I would really appreciate it.
Thanks.

http://www.crucial.com Very reliable company, is an off-shoot of Micron (the memory and PC manuf). Great prices, warranty, and customer service. Micron makes the memory for many OEMs.

www.otherworldcomputing.com Great prices, excellent customer service, lifetime warranty, etc... I've bought a ton of RAM from them with excellent service every time. There's a post on here started a couple weeks ago about them. Every single response to it was more than positive.

hehe, a lot of you probably disagree with me, but I would just go out and buy the cheapest PC-133 module I can find, which is what I recently did. For one, its same price as PC-100, maybe $1 difference, and 2, CL3 PC-133 when clocked to PC-100, it will be CL-2 (2-2-2 speed code), which you won't find in the cheapest PC-100, and lastly it can push slightly more bandwidth from your machine. My memory performance improved by a few percentage points when I replaced PC-100 modules with PC-133s...
As for quality, since RAM won't fry your computer, and is dirt cheap, I don't worry about that very much. However, RAM prices will RISE, as many are pulling out of the market or are reducing production since they can no longer make a profit with such low prices, so get them soon!

G4/450, T-bird 1.05GHz, iBook 500, iBook 233...4 different machines, 4 different OSes...(9, 2k, X.1, YDL2.2 respectively) PiA to maintain...

Just want to remind everyone of when the last Apple firmware came out and what happened to a lot of the cheap RAM-that RAM didn't show up after installing the new firmware. A lot of PC cheap RAM didn't conform to the Apple spec and many people were stuck with non-working RAM.
You get what you pay for-at least get a good warranty, a place that will guarantee your RAM works, regardless of what updates are performed on your Mac.

I can get 512 megabytes of PC-133 CAS2 (2-2-2) 7.5-nanosecond 168-pin SDRAM for $32. Enough said.
sean@macnn.com
Well, that's today's price. It might be cheaper when you ask.
I can't disclose the sources right now, as the prices of RAM are very volatile hour-to-hour. An hour later, it might be $33. Big difference, you know.

We have a steady stream of memory being shipped out our back dock to Outpost. I know they have good memory.

I just maxed out my G4 yikes! with a gig of RAM from Other World Computing. Works great, and this slightly old box sure is snappy now! Their RAM prices for the G4/PCI have dropped since I ordered mine, I think down to 24.50 or so. Check dealram.com for prices.
