Why canīt I print with these promised printer? Iīm sure thatīs the driver.
About two months, three drivers, same amount of OSes. Maybe Iīll write a book, someday.
I added a lot of hardware with their drivers in my PowerBase. Every peace works fine. Only these thing donīt. Ok, it works with Virtual PC and Win98, only with the windows driver - when I try the mac side, it donīt print. Now, since VPC with Win98 are not recommended to my machine (only to faster G3) what can I do to fast the printings in Win98? What can I pick up from OS? Itīs used only to print. When nothing goes wrong, it takes about a half of an hour to print the first page of text - launching Win(? only to Gates), opening app, config, etc.
Seems to you Iīm a looser?
Yes, in these point I am. I surrender myself. Until the release of a decent driver.
I insist in HP because I had a Epson with clogged heads before. But their drivers are well written.
Help if you know something that could fast things. (VPC Helper, 96 MB, VM off, RD9 off, only 180e processor - waiting G3 500 upgrade to reach about U$ 250).
Thanks.

I've had my 970Cxi for about 2 months now and I've never had any problems with it like what you're having. It's hooked up to my PowerComputing PowerCenter Pro 210 via a PCI USB/Firewire card, and I have OS 8.6. You should have HP's printer software V 2.0a. More info:chich mac do you have, what OS version do you have in it, and how is the printer connected to it?

Also, have you tried to going to HP's support home page and sending them a message?

Eric
