I got mine at CompUSA in Towson, MD. I don't know how many they had, but the iPod was upfront in the MP3 Player section -- I thought for sure it would be in the Apple Store. Unfortunately, my girlfriend doesn't have a Mac and I can't use it until I get home tonight ... ARGHHHHH...

Did those CompUSA purchases allow to purchase an extended warranty? I bought mine at an Apple Store and extended warranty was not available.

I got mine from MicroCenter on Saturday afternoon. They had 2 (!) in stock. The man ahead of me got the first one. I got the second!
As I left I heard someone saying "guess we ought to make a 911 call to Apple" to get more, I suppose. Why they only got 2 I'll never know.

Well, the CompUSA in San Francisco was sold out this afternoon. And the local MacAdam did not have any yesterday. I'm going to order from MacConnection, now that Outpost is charging sales tax to California!

Yes, they tried selling me a 2 year one, and when I said no, then they tried a 1 year one. I said no to that to - I had no more cash.

If I had the cash, I would get a 2 year one, since you can use it to get a new one, even if you broke it.

I bought mine at CompUSA in dowtown Chicago, IL. They had eight. I got there at 8:50 AM, before the doors opened I was the first one in and the first one to get one. When I left the store at 9:05, I was in a hurry, they only had four left.

I got mine at CompUsa. I did get an extended warranty for two years for 30 bucks which is well worth it. When it breaks, they will replace it for free. And if it breaks and they don't have it in stock, I can get a replacement for the same amount of money. Say, Apple comes out with Revision B with a larger HD or something. I am sure something will go terribly wrong with my iPod a couple of weeks later and I will go to the CompUsa and get Revision B for free. But that's just me and my luck ....

Purchased mine at MacAuthority in Nashville. They received 8 and I got the fifth. It turns out they had sold 4 the day before they were supposed to go on sale. Hey, don't blame them...they didn't know!
They misunderestimated me. - GW Bush

Ordered last Friday from Small Dog. Tracked it like a blood hound through the UPS tracker and it arrived right on time yesterday. I opened that thing up so fast...it's perfect and Small Dog is an honest, mac-loving bunch of people.
My sig fell off the page.
I'm sorry.
