What does anyone reckon the chances are of us getting mac OS X drivers for any of these bluetooth PCMCIA cards/USB devices that are beginning to pop-up all over the place?
I understand that Bluetooth is a rather sophisticated spec (understatement of the year.) But surely one of these manufacturers will recognise the advantage of the mac market (as manufacturers of other peripheral-types have.)
Or is my idea of a bluetooth "driver" rather simplistic? would the ability to use bluetooth under OS X also require APIs from apple, (a bit like Infra-red.)
I personally think bluetooth is a fantastic idea and I hope I can use it on my mac soon - (my secret hope is that Apple likes bluetooth but is being secretive about it - so it can be a wow factor on future hardware.)
p.s. please don't tell me that bluetooth is dead and that I should use Airport - They do fundamentally different things and they can co-exist (both in the market-place and in the Radio spectrum )
