I'm hoping to find someone who can point me in the right direction. We just upgraded to a B&W 350 from a Mac preforma 600 CD. One note to all of you guys: it is a wise move to make sure you delete all your archived stuff
before you ship off you old Mac when selling it. I don't know Who MR. D. of Lasso is, but your secrets are safe with us. Any way, We've got two USB ports and one adb port, How do I get a SCSI chain hooked up. I keep reading about these "cheap cards" . Where are they? Is there an archived section somewhere
where I can play that great american past time and catch up?
Also, we updated our OS to 9.1. Am I correct to assume that all of my
old software is now incompatible ?
Thanks.

The Adaptec 2906 SCSI card is around $50 or $60. It's one of the cheaper ones out there and is very reliable. However, your better bet may be to network them together. What model of Performa is it? It may have ehternet built in. If so, just hook up with an ethernet crossover cable and transfer that way.

Some of your old apps may work, some may not. I'd bet more will work than won't. The only way to tell is install them and see what happens. If they don't, it's unlikely any harm will be done. If you run into incompatibilities, go to www.versiontracker.com Any updates to your software should be listed there with details on where/how to get them. Many are available to download on the spot.
