Hi there,
Maybe some of you experts out there can help me out. I'm sick of backing up my portions of my hard drive onto zip disks. With hard drive prices so cheap, I think I can afford a second drive. All I want to do is set up the second drive so that it mirrors the first. I believe this is RAID 1, right? Now, here's the deal: I looked into SoftRAID, and they only work with SCSI disks or VST's FireRaid. I don't want to go and buy a whole bunch of new disks. I want to use my existing ATA-66 and add either a second ATA-66 or (more likely) an external firewire disk. Is this possible? What's the best way of doing this?

thanks.

forgive me for not rememberin the name at the moment, but there's a PCI card theat like 200 bucks that is basically a RAID setup....works with two ATA drives...not sure if you can set it to morror rather than stripe, but if you go to a local apple dealer they can probaby tell you who makes it, or if'n you email me I'll try and dig it out..

excepting that, you can always do what i useta do, just bought a second, larger drive and once a week just option drag the one drive onto the other...slower, but you can do it and go away...
